Restorative practices in reducing school violence:

Violence in the school environment remains an ongoing challenge in educational institutions globally. Restorative practices (RP) have been implemented in educational settings to reduce school violence and improve emotional wellbeing and group cohesion. This systematic review examines their effectiveness in the school context. Findings indicate that RP reduces violence, improves emotional wellbeing, and promotes socio-emotional skills.

School-related violence is an infringement of children’s and adolescents’ rights to education and well-being. No country can achieve inclusive and equitable quality education for all if learners experience violence and bullying in school

It reviews national responses, focusing on countries that have seen positive trends in prevalence and identifies factors that have contributed to an effective response to school violence and bullying.
