Duodécima Reunión de Autoridades y Comité Ejecutivo de la Comisión Interamericana de Educación
La Duodécima Reunión de Autoridades y Comité Ejecutivo de la Comisión Interamericana de Educación (CIE) se realizó en la Sede de la OEA en Washington, D.C. los días 18 y 19 de mayo de 2011. Fue la primera reunión en que las autoridades de la CIE se convocaron por vía virtual.
Los objetivos de la reunión fueron presentar el proyecto “Cooperación Horizontal en Educación Docente (RIED): Una Comunidad de Líderes Innovadores de Educación”; presentar las decisiones acordadas para el periodo de transición del FEMCIDI y próximos pasos; presentar una serie de actividades relacionadas con educación infantil; revisar las iniciativas en el tema de Educación sobre Valores y Prácticas Democráticas; considerar la propuesta de continuación de proyecto de la Fase II del Proyecto de Cooperación Horizontal en Educación Docente para educadores del siglo XXI: Un Enfoque en Tecnología y Colaboración para Mejorar la Calidad de la Educación en las Américas; y presentar los avances en los preparativos de la Reunión Interamericana de Ministros de Educación que se realizará en Paramaribo, Suriname los días 1 y 2 de marzo de 2012.
