This program aims to increase transparency and citizen participation in the design, development and implementation of public policies by promoting open government principles and practices in public administration.
Eligible countries: Caribbean OAS Member States.

Learning outcomes:

After completing this course, participants will be able to have:

1. A better understanding of Open Government principles and a greater comprehension on how to implement them.

2. A raised awareness on implementing open government practices to prevent corruption.

3. Collaborative links established among participants from public sector and civil society.

4. A draft proposal on Open Government commitments drafted.

Application Requirements:

Citizenship of a Caribbean OAS Member State.

Updated Curriculum Vitae.

One letter from the institution where the candidate works stating that the program will be beneficial to the institution.

A statement in which the applicant explains why is a good candidate, and how the program will have an impact on his/her institution or community (300 words.)
