Fifth Special Meeting of the CEDDIS (October 2014)

The Fifth Special Meeting of CEDDIS was convened in order to conduct an in-depth review of the format for submitting the Compliance Report for the Inter-American Committee for the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities (CIADDIS) and for the Program of Action for the Decade of the Americas for the Rights and Dignity of Persons with Disabilities (PAD). Such task involved a multidisciplinary group of experts previously proposed by some CEDDIS delegations pursuant to the decisions the Committee adopted at its Fourth Special Meeting, held in Panama in May 2014. Moreover, during this Special Meeting took place the election of the Chair of the Committee.

This meeting was attended by the representatives from the following countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay and Uruguay.
