Fifth Meeting of the CEDDIS (November 2015)

The Fifth Meeting of CEDDIS was held with the purpose of considering the first batch of national reports on the implementation of the Inter-American Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities (CIADDIS) and the Program of Action for the Decade of the Americas for Persons with Disabilities (PAD). This entailed detailed assessments by country and the adoption of general recommendations on the information reported. Time was also allotted for the election of the First Vice Chair of the Committee, for the exchange of inclusive national experiences, and for a dialogue with representatives of civil society organizations.

This meeting was attended by the representatives from the following countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay and Peru.
