The meeting of national authorities on human trafficking is the political forum for decision-making on the prevention and confrontation of this crime and the assistance and protection of victims.

The meeting is held every two years under the rotating presidency of a Member State of the Organization of American States.

The meetings result in recommendations, regional work plans and other documents that frame hemispheric action in combating human trafficking.
