The Program aims to promote the rights of older persons and promote the ratification, accession and implementation of the Inter-American Convention on Protecting the Human Rights of Older Persons

Objectives

Train public officials, civil society, academia and the general public on the rights of older persons
Expand and promote cooperation, exchange of experiences and good practices to strengthen government institutions that develop public policies for older persons.
Disseminate and promote the ratification, accession and implementation of the Inter-American Convention on the Protection of the Human Rights of Older Persons.

Activities

Face-to-face meetings to exchange experiences and good practices between authorities and representatives of society and academia.
Awareness campaigns about the rights of older people
Promotion campaign on the Inter-American Convention on the Protection of the Human Rights of Older Persons with the objective of promoting its ratification, accession and implementation.
Webinars on the promotion and protection of older people.
