The Regional Disability Observatory is a platform that systematizes the information collected during the monitoring cycles of the Inter-American Convention for the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities (CIADDIS), and the Program of Action for the Decade of Disabilities. the Americas for the Rights and Dignity of People with Disabilities (PAD), which are held every four years.
Users of the observatory can access information according to thematic axes, indicators and standardized criteria, facilitating the identification of data of interest, and allowing the evolutionary line of each country to be analyzed with respect to its progress reported every four years.
The observatory is a great tool for the preparation of academic reports, diagnoses and statistics that promote legislative improvements or adaptations in public policies that are compatible with international human rights conventions.
