The Department of International Law of the Secretariat for Legal Affairs of the General Secretariat of the Organization of American States presents its compliments on behalf of the Chair of the Working Group to Prepare the Draft American Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and takes this opportunity to invite you to participate in the Fifteenth Meeting of Negotiations in the Quest for Points of Consensus, pursuant to operative paragraph 3 of General Assembly resolution AG/RES. 2867 (XLIV-O/14).
The Meeting of Negotiations
will take place at the OAS headquarters, in
Washington, D.C., February 9 to 11. At the
event, the Caucus will be represented by its
regional authorities elected during the last
Meeting of Negotiations. Their presence will be
financed by “the Specific Fund to Support the
Elaboration of the American Declaration on the
Rights of Indigenous Peoples."

The negotiations will be
transmitted live through the OAS webcast site,
allowing indigenous peoples to follow the
