47th Course on International Law concludes successfully

The 47th Course on International Law organized by the Inter-American Juridical Committee (CJI) and the Department of International Law of the Secretariat for Legal Affairs of the Organization of American States (OAS), concluded successfully in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on August 12th. 

The Course was held at the facilities of the Faculdade Nacional de Direito of the Universidade Federal Do Rio de Janeiro (FND-UFRJ) and was co-sponsored by the Núcleo Interamericano de Direitos Humanos of said institution.

Throughout the two-week course, 39 participants from different countries from the Americas learned about various topics in the field of public and private international law, as well as new legal developments in the Inter-American system. The faculty included officials from international organizations, academics, judges, arbitrators, and internationalists. The students also had the opportunity to participate in an open dialogue with the members of the CJI. 

The closing ceremony was attended by the Secretary for Legal Affairs of the OAS, Dr. Jean-Michel Arrighi; the Director of the Department of International Law, Dr. Dante Negro; and Professor Siddharta Legale on behalf of the FND-UFRJ.
