As part of the series of virtual forums organized by the Secretariat for Legal Affairs of the OAS in 2020, the Inter-American Juridical Committee (CJI), principal organ of the OAS, will initiate in October a series of presentations of its recent works completed.

The series will begin on Thursday, October 1, with the presentation of the CJI's “Proposal on an Inter-American Model Law 2.0 on Access to Public Information”, which was drafted by this body at the request of the General Assembly in 2017. Subsequently, on Thursday, November 12, a presentation of the CJI’s Guidelines for Binding and Non-Binding Agreements will take place. CJI’s series of virtual forums will end with a presentation of its report on “International Law and State Cyber Operations” on Thursday, December 3. With regard to the last topics, both reports were approved during the Committee’s most recent session held in August of this year, and they have already been submitted to the OAS Permanent Council for its consideration.

More information about the virtual forums and the respective working programs will be distributed in due course.
