Applicable Law 

The CIDIP process has produced several Inter-American Conventions and other Instruments on the law applicable to various types of transactions, including the following: Inter-American Convention on conflicts of laws concerning bills of exchange, promissory notes, and invoices; Inter-American Convention on conflicts of laws concerning checks; Inter-American Convention on conflicts of laws concerning commercial companies; Inter-American Convention on general rules of private international law; Inter-American Convention on conflicts of laws concerning the adoption of minors; and, Inter-American Convention on the law applicable to international contracts.
