The next CITEL PCC.II meeting
will be held in Ottawa, Canada on June 2-5, 2009.
The day prior to the meeting, a one-day
radiocommunication symposium will be held at the
same location.
Spectrum 20/20 is organized by a
body known as the Radio Advisory Board of Canada ("RABC").
As the organization's website (http://www.rabc-cccr.ca)
proclaims "The Radio Advisory Board of Canada
provides broadly based, unbiased and technically
expert advice to the Government of Canada and to the
industry on all matters regarding the management and
use of the radio frequency spectrum in Canada."
The Radio Advisory
Board of Canada, originally named the “Canadian
Radio Technical Planning Board” at the time of
its creation in 1944, is an "association of
associations" which represents most sectors of the
radiocommunication business in Canada - including:
manufacturers, wireless carriers and service
providers, network operators, broadcasters, public
safety organizations, national security
organizations and users.
Spectrum 20/20 is a
well attended event from both the private and public
sector aptly billed as the "premier radio
communications event in Canada drawing senior
spectrum, radio and telecommunications officials
from around the world." This year, the RABC and the
Canadian Industry are particularly proud to be
hosting CITEL PCC.II participants.
In its 8th
year in the current format, the event promises to
provoke engaging discussions during focused panels
on the following topics:
-

Technology: Key enablers in wireless broadband,
broadband technologies across multiple mediums,
integrated satellite terrestrial communications,

communications.
-

-

also welcome two unique speakers:

nanotechnology at the university of Toronto and
author of “The Dance of Molecules" who will
discuss nanotechnology and its impact on
communications.
