The Organization of American States (OAS) hosted the seminar “Legal Situation, Public Policy, Good Practices and Affirmative Action”, on Friday, January 21, between 9:00 EST (14:00 GMT) and 17:30 EST (22:30 GMT) in the Padilha Vidal Hall inside the Organization’s General Services Building in Washington, DC (1889 F St., N.W., Washington, DC).

The event’s objective was to update indigenous leaders in the continent on public policies, good practices and affirmative action, as well as to identify challenges in the implementation of solutions in areas such as “property, land and resources,” “free determination, autonomy and self-government” and “treaties, agreements and constructive agreements.”
