Activities undertaken

X Workshop on International Law, Costa Rica, 2010

The Tenth Workshop on International Law, an event that the Department of International Law organizes annually, was held from February 2 to 5, 2010, at the offices of the Inter-American Institute of Human Rights in San Jose, Costa Rica. This year, for the first time, three Afro-descendant professors from universities in the English-speaking Caribbean attended the workshops. One of them, Professor Winston Anderson, a Judge on the Caribbean Court of Justice, offered a presentation on CARICOM. The Department of International Law was also part of a panel that offered three presentations on international and hemispheric standards of protection for people of African descent.
