Activities undertaken
Course on International Law, Brazil, 2009
In August 2009, for the first time, the
traditional
Course on International Law
organized by the
Inter-American Juridical Committee
and the Department of International Law
drew on the services of a specialist
professor who lectured on racial
discrimination and protection of the the
rights of Afro-descendants through the
OAS. By the same token, the Department
of International Law provided the
funding for scholarships for four young
people of African descent who have stood
out for their endeavors in this area to
attend the Course.
