STATES THAT WILL BE ANALYZED AT THE EIGHTH MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE OF EXPERTS AND THE DEADLINE FOR THE SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS FROM CIVIL SOCIETY WITH RESPECT TO THOSE STATES 

At its Sixth Meeting, the Committee of Experts agreed that at its Eighth Meeting (September 26 to October 1, 2005), it would consider the preliminary draft reports (on the implementation of the provisions of the Convention selected within the framework of the first round) with respect to the following FIVE States Parties: Canada; United States; Jamaica; Guatemala; and Saint Vincent and The Grenadines. 

Similarly, and taking into account the decision adopted at its Third Meeting, the Committee agreed that the deadline for updating the responses of the five States Parties referred to above, and for the submission of documents (with respect to those States) by civil society organizations, in accordance with Article 33(b) of the Committee's Rules of Procedure, is January 31, 2005.
