4.6 Criminal Justice System Process - ICCS Crimes Level 1
4.6.3.1 Persons prosecuted for: Acts leading to death or intending to cause death (ICCS 01)
Total number of alleged offenders against whom prosecution for “acts leading to death or intending to cause death” commenced in the reporting year. Persons may be prosecuted by the public prosecutor or the law enforcement agency responsible for prosecution. All persons for which prosecution starts should be counted, irrespective of the case-ending decision. “Acts leading to death or intending to cause death” are those criminal offences defined in Section 01 of the International Classification of Crime for Statistical Purposes (ICCS), UNODC, Mar 2015, pp.33-36.
