2014 OAS-Republic of Macedonia Scholarship Program
NOTE TO ALL APPLICANTS
PLEASE READ BEFORE STARTING
The application must be completed in its entirety before exiting the site or submitting the form.
Gather the following documents which must be upload at the end of the application form, and in the following order:
1. Letter of unconditional admission to UIST
· Proof of application for admission to UIST could be shown in the forms of the application confirmation number, application ID number or email confirmation forwarded by UIST which confirms that the application was successfully received.
· IMPORTANT: Although we encourage you to apply and submit the other required documents of the OAS Scholarship application before receiving your admission letter, you must submit a copy of the official admission letter by the scholarship application deadline to [email protected] with copy to [email protected];
2. Copy of government issued identification document;
3. Curriculum Vitae or Résumé, without attachments;
4. Copy of high school academic records or transcripts of completed courses;
5. Two letters of recommendation. Recommendations may be from a professor or teacher or from a current or most recent employer, if applicable.
6. Students whose native language is not English, should provide one of the following as proof of English proficiency:
· Grade C or better in English Language at the GSCE/ GCEO; Grade C or better in English First Language at IGCSE; Grade B or better in English Second Language at IGCSE
· An overall band of 6.5 or better in IELTS
· A score of 550 or better in the paper-based or 213 for computer based or 80 for internet based in TOEFL
· Subscores of 550 or better in Critical Reading and 550 or better in Writing in the SAT
· At the International Baccalaureate: Grade 4 or better in the Higher Level English Language (B Syllabus); or Grade 5 or better in the Standard Level English Language (B Syllabus); or Grade 4 or better in the Higher or Standard Level Language (A1 or A2 Syllabus); or Grade 4 or better in the Standard Level English – Text and Performance; or
Grade 4 or better in the Standard Level English – Literature and Performance (A1 Syllabus).
· The qualification or test results of the English test must have been awarded no more than two years prior to the proposed date of enrollment (September 2014)
7. Proof that you have sufficient funds to cover the costs not covered by the OAS and UIST, by submitting one, or a combination of the following documents: a copy of a rental agreement on property showing you as the property owner; OR a copy of a bank statement or bank letter; OR a letter from employer showing monthly or yearly salary; OR a letter showing student loan or scholarship(s), grants, financial aid.
9. Draft the following essays: (each essay should have a minimum of 800 characters and maximum of 2900 characters)
Essay 1: Describe how acquiring this academic degree will directly impact and enhance your professional skills in your current job position or career.
Essay 2: The OAS – PAEC Scholarship requires recipients to return to their country of citizenship or legal residence for 2 years upon completion of the studies. Please explain how you intend to apply the acquired knowledge and experience in the specific field of study that you pursue to the development in your country or region.
