NOTE TO ALL APPLICANTS TO THE OAS/UNESCO-IHE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

PLEASE READ BEFORE STARTING

The application must be completed in its entirety before exiting the site or submitting the form. The information you enter can be saved as you are working on it during this session. However, information cannot be saved for another session before the application is submitted. We strongly suggest that you print the blank application form (FORM AND LINK HERE), prepare the narrative information in a separate Word document which you can copy and paste into the on-line application form, and fill out the other data by hand on the application form before you begin to fill out the form on line. Once you access and open the form, it can remain open (without exiting or submitting it) indefinitely, so you will have time to fillout the form and check your information before submitting it. No changes will be permitted after you submit the form.


This application must be completed on-line.

The application must include the following documents:

  • Unconditional Admission letter by UNESCO-IHE or Proof of application for admission to the UNESCO
    • Proof of application for admission to the UNESCO-IHE could be shown in the forms of the application confirmation number, application ID number or email confirmation forwarded by UNESCO-IHE which confirms that the application was successfully received. This proof should be uploaded with the other required documents.
    • IMPORTANT: Although we encourage you to apply and submit the other required documents of the OAS/UNESCO-IHE Scholarship application before receiving your admission letter, you must submit a copy of the official admission letter or e-mail confirmation of admission by the scholarship application deadline to [email protected] or [email protected] with the subject “OAS/UNESCO-IHE Schoalrship Application – Admission Letter”, before your application could be reviewed by the scholarship selection committee. There is no need to submit a second scholarsip application to include the admission letter.
  • Copy of government issued identification document;
  • Curriculum Vitae or Resume, without attachments;
  • One letter of recommendation: one from a University professor or from current or most recent employer;
  • Copy of undergraduate academic records or transcripts of completed programs;

  • Potential participants should have a good command of the English Language. Proof of English should be shown as follows:

    • An official transcript verifying completion of studies in an English speaking university in the last five years, or
    • A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a score of 570 or higher for the paper based test, 20 for computer-based test or 89 for internet-based test; IELTS 6.5, or the equivalent.
  • Each eligible applicant has to submit proof of remaining funds needed. Applicants without the required proof of funds will not be considered.
