El Observatorio Nacional de Política Criminal del Ministerio de Justicia y Derechos Humanos de Perú. Esta entidad está encargada de crear conocimiento para la toma de decisiones en materia de política criminal. Su función principal es realizar investigaciones para generar evidencia empírica sobre temas criminológicos, que servirán de insumo para las políticas públicas criminales, pues permitirá conocer la génesis, características e impacto del fenómeno criminal en el Perú.

In Chicago, a program called CeaseFire is working to curb violence by helping at-risk youth find employment and patrolling the streets to stop crimes before they happen.
