The global plan of action is a technical document informed by evidence, best practices and existing WHO technical guidance. It offers a set of practical actions that Member States may take to strengthen health system and intersectoral actions to prevent and respond to interpersonal violence in general, and against women and girls, and against children, in particular. The plan also outlines Actions that the WHO Secretariat is expected to carry out in support of Member States.

This data briefing analyses people’s migration intentions globally for the period of 2010–2015. The briefing also explores to what degree data on migration potential can be a useful predictor of actual migration by comparing results from Gallup surveys with data on officially recorded migrant in- and outflows.

The purpose of this collection of papers is first of all to draw attention to the many dimensions of the migratory experience covered by the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and secondly, to offer practical suggestions as to how these aspects of migration can be addressed effectively during the implementation process.
