La Organización Mundial de la Salud define la violencia sexual como “todo acto sexual, la tentativa de consumar un acto sexual, los comentarios o insinuaciones sexuales no deseados, o las acciones para comercializar o utilizar de cualquier otro modo la sexualidad de una persona mediante coacción por otra persona, independientemente de la relación de ésta con la víctima, en cualquier ámbito, incluidos el hogar y el lugar de trabajo”. (Jewkes et al., 2002).

Este es un estudio exploratorio para analizar la vulnerabilidad y la exposición a riesgos de origen social y natural de los migrantes en México. El objetivo central es analizar la vulnerabilidad de los migrantes ante la violencia y violaciones a derechos humanos, así como ante emergencias de origen natural causadas por fenómenos hidrometeorológicos. Se describirán también las estructuras nacionales para responder a situaciones de emergencia.

In 2005, the International Labour Office (ILO) published its first global estimate of forced labour.1 The estimate (a minimum of 12.3 million persons in forced labour at any point in time in the period 1995-2004) received considerable attention by governmental and non-governmental organizations and in the media. It has since been widely cited as the most authoritative estimate of the largely hidden, and therefore difficult to measure, phenomenon of forced labour.
