CICAD is collaborating with Claremont Graduate University (CGU) in the United States to deliver one of the leading online certificate programs for the study of media-based prevention science. Course participants build their knowledge and skills in the use of media in substance use prevention. 

Objectives
  • Provide guidance to course participants once they graduate to monitor implementation of the campaigns they developed during the course. 
  • Give professionals in the region the knowledge they need to conduct media-based prevention programs.
  • Improve the impact of media-based substance use prevention campaigns in communities in the Americas.
Activities
  • Select candidates who meet all of the requirements to participate in the media-based prevention program.
  • Support the participants as they implement their media-based campaigns in communities of OAS member states.
