Role of the Technical Cooperation Section
The Technical Cooperation Section positions the Executive Secretariat for Integral Development (SEDI, for its acronym in Spanish) as a facilitator of optimized partnerships and development assistance, offering targeted technical cooperation in the Americas. It does this through the Development Cooperation Fund (DCF), Cooperation Exchange (CooperaNet), and multi-sectoral partnerships.
This involves adopting an alliance model that provides Member States with development assistance tailored to their specific needs, supporting their socio-economic development, and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The section includes the technical team leading the following:
- Development Cooperation Fund (DCF): Providing seed funding, enhancing institutional and human resources capacity, and promoting Triangular and South-South cooperation.
- Cooperation Exchange: Matching Member States' needs with solutions from other countries or actors through an online hub that connects Member States with each other and with multi-sectoral partners (government, private sector, academia, civil society, international organizations).
- Multi-Sectoral Partnerships: Facilitating strategic engagement, building alliances for socio-economic growth, and aligning needs with opportunities through both face-to-face and online interactions.
