The Department of Human Development, Education and Employment (DHDEE) offers programs that provide scholarships and loans for academic studies and professional development; innovative online training opportunities; training and knowledge sharing opportunities for teachers and for education policymakers; support for institutional capacity strengthening and horizontal cooperation for education and employment. DHDEE also promotes policy dialogue on education and labor among all OAS Member States.

The Department of Human Development, Education and Employment is under the Executive Secretariat for Integral Development.

The DHDEE is the Technical Secretariat of the Inter-American Committee on Education.

Structure
The Section works with OAS Member States in strengthening institutional capacities and developing public policies to improve labor conditions, promote labor rights, institutionalize social dialogue among governments, workers and employers, and address structural and emerging employment challenges in the region.
The area works with OAS member states in creating resilient education systems through policy dialogue and Inter-American cooperation.
