Over these 47 years the OAS has impacted Suriname through the implementation of programs and projects under the main pillars of democracy, human rights, security, and development.

This Office works under the Coordinating Office for the Offices of the General Secretariat in the Member States (COOGSMS). In the absence of a formal representative, the duties are performed by the Director of the COOGSMS, Amb. Yolande Yvonne Smith.
