The Office of the OAS General Secretariat Panama was established in 1955. In 2020, Ruben Farje was appointed as resident Representative.
The OAS Panama Office serves as the crucial link between the Member State and the OAS, and actively promotes the organization's core principles and ideals, ensuring maximum visibility through strategic public diplomacy engagements.
Over these 69 years the OAS has impacted Panama through the implementation of programs and projects under the main pillars of democracy, human rights, security, and development.
