PCC.I Mentoring Program – Cycle 2 walks the road to WTDC-25.
Program Overview:Following PCC.I/DEC. 329 (XL-22), a mentoring program has been
created to ensure the continuity of PCC.I procedures in accordance with CITEL statutes and regulations, and to
prepare newcomers in the scope and work of CITEL at the regional and international levels for World Assemblies and
Conferences. While a significant focus is on women, men are enthusiastically encouraged to participate and support.
The PCC.I Mentoring Program employs various engagement strategies, support mechanisms and resources which
mentor-protégé teams draw on in ways that suit their particular circumstances and preferences.
Aim:The aim of the PCC.I Mentoring Program is to provide support for delegates
from CITEL countries to meaningfully participate in statutory meetings and other activities of COM/CITEL, PCC.I,
ITU-D, and ITU-T activities.
Mentor Profile:Professionals from the Americas with relevant expertise and
leadership experience in COM/CITEL, PCC.I, ITU-D and/or ITU-T, who highly value diversity, and possess strong
interpersonal and communication skills, are encouraged to volunteer for mentoring roles in the PCC.I Mentoring
Program.
Protégé Profile:Professionals eligible to represent organizations or
administrations of the member states or associate members of CITEL, and who feel that they would benefit from the
Program, are encouraged to apply for protégé roles in the PCC.I Mentoring Program.
