At this session, the rapporteur of the subject at the Inter-American Juridical Committee (CJI) will make a general presentation on the Updated Principles on the Privacy and the Protection of Personal Data approved by that body last April, highlighting its creation process and making a brief refence to each of them.
Subsequently, experts from the public and private sectors will delve into select Updated Principles, sharing their views and experiences. Finally, the latest OAS Member State to adopt legislation on the subject, Ecuador, will share some ideas on this new law and its compatibility with the Updated Principles.
