The COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated the need for public safety agencies and 911 systems to prepare to maintain operational capacity during disruptive events. Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning provides organizations with tools needed to continue to deliver mission critical services during a pandemic, natural disasters or other emergency situations. This discussion will focus on COOP planning process and main components, and will provide real life experiences of its drafting and implementation.
