The Inter-American Council for Integral Development (CIDI) and the Executive Secretariat for Integral Development (SEDI) hosted the official handover ceremony of the CIDI Chair.

During the event the Permanent Representative of Suriname to the Organization of American States (OAS), H.E. Jan Marten Schalkwijk, assumed the Chair CIDI, a position that he will hold until December 2025.

The outgoing Vice Chair of CIDI and Representative of Colombia to the OAS, Luis Ernesto Vargas, handed over his role his role to the Permanent Representative of Brazil, H.E Benoni, Belli. 

The Chair of CIDI rotates every six months according to alphabetical order in Spanish.
