Webinar on Passenger Data, including Advance Passenger Information (API) and Passenger Name Record (PNR) for the Americas
In order to enhance the region’s collective capacity to detect and disrupt terrorist travel, the Organization of American States (OAS), through its Inter-American Committee against Terrorism (CICTE), in partnership with the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism on behalf of the United Nations Countering Terrorist Travel Programme (CT Travel), will convene a virtual webinar on Advance Passenger Information (API) and Passenger Name Record (PNR) for the 33 Member States of the Americas on June 18, 2025.
The webinar will aim to enhance regional awareness on how passenger data can contribute to national and regional efforts to counter terrorism and organized crime. It will provide a platform for sharing best practices, discussing challenges, and fostering regional cooperation on the use of passenger data. During the session, Member States will also learn about opportunities to support the strengthening of national capacities as well as mechanisms for regional cooperation, including the establishment of an Informal Working Group on API and PNR for LAC Member States.
