The workshop seeks to raise awareness among the diplomatic and academic community regarding the threats posed by terrorism and violent extremism in the region; exchange good practices on effective coordination in preventing and countering terrorism and violent extremism, including through the Internet; and promote international intra-State cooperation and public-private partnerships to prevent and counter terrorism and violent extremism.

The event will be organized by the Organization of American States (OAS) Inter-American Committee Against Terrorism (CICTE), the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the World Jewish Congress (WJC) and the Latin American Jewish Congress (LAJC).

A guided visit to TikTok’s Washington D.C. offices will take place on June 18 for a demonstration of their content moderation process.
