Virtual Technical Workshop Designing Social Development Policies from a Disability Perspective

This workshop aims to promote the use of the “disability lens” in the formulation, implementation and evaluation of social policies in the region. Through the exchange of experiences, lessons learned and the analysis of best practices, it seeks to strengthen the capacities of the member states of the Organization of American States (OAS) to integrate this approach into their social development strategies at the national level.

Organizers: Working Group 2 of the Inter-American Committee on Social Development (CIDES), entitled “Social protection systems that lead to social development, through the reduction of poverty and inequality, and expand social protection with a comprehensive approach," with the support of the Department of Social Inclusion (DSI), of the Organization of American States (OAS), within the framework of the project to reactivate the Inter-American Social Protection Network (IASPN).
