The Committee of Experts of the Follow-up Mechanism for the Implementation of the Inter-American Convention against Corruption (MESICIC) will hold its 43rd Meeting.
Among the objectives of the meeting are:
- The adoption of the anti-corruption reports of Brazil, Belize and Suriname
- The consideration of the revised version of the proposed indicators regarding the results in the protection of whistleblowers and witnesses of acts of corruption
- Institutions like the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank, Transparency International, the Development Bank for Latin America (CAF), GRECO the UNODC and the Department of Effective Public Management of the OAS, will present their experiences and best practices on the importance of open data for preventing corruption.
- OAS Member States will present their anticorruption best practices following the methodology implemented by the Committee for that end.
- States will present their progress reports on the implementation of the recommendations made by the MESICIC for strengthening their laws and institutions against corruption.
