The Committee of Experts of the Follow-up Mechanism for the Implementation of the Inter-American Convention against Corruption (MESICIC) will hold its 43rd Meeting.
Among the objectives of the meeting were:
- The adoption of the anti-corruption reports of Brazil, Belize and Suriname
- The consideration of the revised version of the proposed indicators regarding the results in the protection of whistleblowers and witnesses of acts of corruption. Access the Indicators in the Protection of Whistleblowers and Witnesses of Acts of Corruption here.
- OAS Member States and Institutions like the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank, Transparency International, the Development Bank for Latin America (CAF), GRECO the UNODC and the Department of Effective Public Management of the OAS, will presented their experiences and best practices on the importance of open data for preventing corruption.
