During MISPA VII, the Subsidiary Technical Group for the Prevention of Crime, Violence and Insecurity held its second meeting and the International Seminar on Mechanisms and Tools for Cooperation on Emergency Services in the Region held its first meeting. The meetings focused on international cooperation in the area of security. The recommendations encouraged the OAS to develop strategies for the prevention of violence, crime and insecurity that are applicable to the entire region. IThe corresponding authorities were also urged to create the Subsidiary Technical Group on Emergency and Security Services.
