The IV MISPA produced recommendations on training and strengthening police forces of the participating Member states and urged the OAS General Secretariat to create the Comprehensive Police Training and Specialization Program in which countries exchange knowledge on police management. This meeting focused on strengthening cooperation, in part, through the proposed creation of the Inter-American Network for Police Development and Professionalization (REDPPOL).
