Digital Diploma in Leadership for Social Inclusion and Access to Rights
This diploma offers a comprehensive training program designed to strengthen leadership skills and promote social inclusion from a human rights perspective. Throughout the program, participants will gain key knowledge on international and inter-American legal frameworks, explore tools for social development, and learn to integrate a human rights approach into education and policy advocacy.
Additionally, participants will develop practical skills in negotiation, persuasion, strategic communication, and the use of social media to advance social agendas. The Digital Diploma also covers essential topics such as digital accessibility, evidence-based policy design, and project development and fundraising management, equipping participants with practical tools to lead projects and drive change in their communities.
This is a unique experience for those seeking to become agents of transformation in the region.
Who Can Apply?
Applications are open to government representatives working directly or indirectly on the social inclusion and human rights agenda at the regional level, as well as representatives from civil society, academia, the private sector, media, international organizations, and other key stakeholders involved in designing solutions and engaging in public dialogues on these topics.
The program strongly encourages applications from Afro-descendants, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, women, youth, older adults, as well as migrants, refugees, and displaced persons who demonstrate a clear interest in leadership for inclusion, equity, and human rights.
Methodology:
- The academic program will have a total duration of 9 weeks.
- The sessions will be held live through the Zoom platform and will combine class formats and participatory dialogues.
- There will also be a Bibliography of suggested readings to complement the knowledge received in the virtual sessions.
Academic Schedule:
- 15 live sessions: 2 sessions per week (every Tuesday and Thursday)*
- From Thursday, March 6, 2025, to Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
*No session on Thursday, April 17, 2025 (holiday break).
Class Times (Live Sessions):
- 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Washington, D.C. time)
Certification:
Participants will receive a certificate from the OAS School of Governance upon meeting the following requirements:
- Attend at least 12 out of 15 live sessions.
- Actively participate in the Digital Diploma’s virtual classroom.
- Pass the final online multiple-choice exam at the end of the program.
