The Institutional Strengthening Unit of ES-CICAD/OAS, with support from the Government of Canada, led a working group in Santo Domingo for the creation of the National Network of Alternatives to Incarceration for Women in the criminal justice system for gender-sensitive drug-related crimes, as well as for the creation of a Specialized Gender Department in the National Public Defender's Office.
