As part of the Inter-American Council for Integral Development (CIDI) 2024 agenda on "Physical Connectivity for Regional Trade and Economic Growth," join us for this session on “Connecting Cities and Regions in the Americas to Bolster Subnational Competitiveness.”

Purpose of the Meeting:

This meeting represents an opportunity to discuss policies and programs that have succeeded in leveraging subnational competitiveness to advance socio-economic development and enhance competitiveness. Additionally, the meeting will help identify how OAS Member States may work collaboratively to deepen links among cities and regions in the Americas and exchange good practices and experiences with other subregions, countries, and institutions from across the Americas and around the world in the context of the Inter-American Competitiveness Network (RIAC).

Featured Speakers:

- Nathan Ole, President & CEO of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).

- Anna Rubin, Manager of the Local Development Forum at The Organization for Economic Co-operation, and Development (OECD).

- Misha Lobban-Clarke, Executive director of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI)

CIDI promotes dialogue and cooperation among member states on the most pressing development issues facing the Hemisphere. CIDI meetings feature discussions with member state delegations, leading experts, and strategic partners to build consensus on solutions to the challenges of connectivity as the region works towards greater integration and cooperation.
