The Organization of American States (OAS) and Bússola Tech present the LegisTech: Artificial Intelligence in Parliaments conference. This event is set to convene on October 10th and 11th, 2024, at the OAS Headquarters in Washington, DC, and the U.S. House of Representatives. This event aims to further the dialogue on legislative modernization and digital transformation across Parliaments, with their Secretaries-General and Clerks.

The forthcoming edition will focus on the theme of "The Potential of Artificial Intelligence in Parliaments," reflecting the growing importance of AI in legislative operations. The agenda is designed to facilitate in-depth discussions across various facets of AI application within legislative environments, including but not limited to, the usage of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Parliamentary activities, Cybersecurity considerations, the Digital Agenda in Parliaments, as well as considerations of Users-Satisfaction.

Structured to foster a collaborative and insightful exchange, the conference will feature opening remarks by distinguished leaders, followed by a series of presentations from delegations on their experiences and strategies in harnessing AI for parliamentary advancement.

Furthermore, the event will address crucial topics such as long-term financial planning for emerging technologies and it will discuss a recent publication of the Bússola Tech and the OAS about Artificial Intelligence in Parliaments, underscoring the importance of Parliaments taking this discussion proactively.
