The annual meeting of GEDAIS brought together member states around their experiences and views on alternative development. The 2024 GEDAIS was currently chaired by the Government of Peru with technical support from the Executive Secretariat of CICAD (ES-CICAD). The GEDAIS is a high-level technical forum to address, according to the realities and needs of each country, the different experiences, principles, new trends, and challenges faced by Comprehensive and Sustainable Alternative Development, as well as preventive Alternative Development in the hemisphere, with a focus on human development. The meeting took place on October 23-24 in Lima, Perú. The meeting was held in English and Spanish.
