This session aimed to harness multi-destination tourism as a strategic opportunity to enhance regional cooperation and unlock the Americas' diverse attractions. Despite its potential, challenges such as visa facilitation and inadequate air, land, and sea connectivity impede growth. The meeting explored strategies to overcome these barriers, share successful initiatives, and emphasize the importance of coordination among OAS member states. Expert panelists from IATA, CHTA, SITCA, and FEDESUD presented best practices, while interactive dialogues will engage representatives from member states and various sectors. Expected outcomes include a better understanding of multi-destination tourism’s benefits, identification of solutions to common challenges, and enhanced opportunities for regional cooperation and sustainable tourism growth.
