The Virtual Hemispheric Meeting on Aviation Security marks the conclusion of the Countering Internal and External Threats to Civil Aviation in Latin America and the Caribbean project, funded by the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs of the U.S. Department of State.

The objective is to bring together public sector aviation security authorities from OAS Member States to share lessons learned from the project, discuss best practices to counter threats to aviation security, and promote investment in aviation security. The meeting will be held in two segments: a high-level segment scheduled for September 4 (by invitation only) and a technical segment taking place from September 5-6.
