In collaboration with the Superior Tribunal of Electoral Justice (TSJE) of Paraguay and with the support of the Canadian government, DECO, in its capacity as Technical Secretariat, organized the XVII Inter-American Meeting of Electoral Management Bodies (RAE for its Spanish acronym) in Asunción, Paraguay. The XVII RAE brought together 44 authorities and representatives from 30 electoral management bodies from 23 OAS Member States.

During the two-day meeting, electoral authorities addressed topics such as the impact of artificial intelligence on elections, tools to promote a secure and deliberative information ecosystem, the health of global and regional democracy, and the challenges of conducting elections in contexts of political-electoral violence.
