Our purpose
The purpose of the OAS Boot Camp on Migration and Protection is to provide comprehensive and specialized training to strengthen the knowledge and skills of participants in the areas of protection, assistance, and promotion of inclusion and access to human rights for migrants, refugees, and stateless persons in the Americas. The main objective of this program is to train participants to address the specific challenges and needs of these vulnerable populations, as well as to promote more effective, inclusive, and respectful human rights migration policies and practices in the region.
Target Audience
Representatives of governments working directly or indirectly with migration issues or with migrant and forcibly displaced populations, as well as representatives of civil society, academia, the media, and other actors participating in the design of solutions and public conversations on the subject.
Methodology
- 6 virtual sessions
- The academic program will have a total duration of 2 weeks (3 sessions per week, 6 sessions in total). The sessions will be conducted live through the Zoom platform.
