The Department for Effective Public Management (DEPM/OAS), through the School of Governance and in its role as Technical Secretariat of the Inter-American Network on Government Procurement (INGP), together with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), is pleased to announce the open call for the Online Course “Effective Public Procurement: Value for Money”.
- Dates: October 14 – December 5, 2025 (8 weeks, approx. 10 hours per week)
- Registration deadline: October 5, 2025
- Target audience: Public officials from OAS Caribbean member states (procurement practitioners, policymakers, contract managers, and others interested in the concept and implementation of Value for Money)
- Modality: Online, asynchronous (OAS School of Governance Virtual Campus) - Ongoing tutorial support, active participation in forums, and final project development for the course
- Scholarships: 50 full scholarships available for eligible applicants
- Certification: Issued by the OAS School of Governance, with the support of the sponsoring institutions
This course seeks to strengthen knowledge and skills in applying Value for Money principles in public procurement, through a learning-by-doing methodology, personalized tutoring, and the development of a final project to apply the lessons learned in practice.
