The Secretariat of the Inter-American Committee on Ports (CIP) in collaboration with Women's International Shipping & Trading Association in Perú (WISTA Perú), hosted a Webinar in Spanish "Ports and Cities: Building a Sustainable Relationship", on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 12:00 pm Washington, D.C.

This Webinar aimed to explore strategies that promote a balanced coexistence between the port and the city, recognizing that a strong connection between the two is essential to achieving sustainability, competitiveness, and a better quality of life for all. Representatives from the Port Authority of the Bay of Cadiz in Spain, the National Ports Administration (ANP) of Uruguay, and the Dock Sud Port Management Consortium of Argentina discussed topics such as the positive transformation of port areas, mobility related to logistics activities, and the importance of citizen participation in decision-making processes.
