The project suggests a strategic blend of initiatives spanning regional and national scales, geared towards surmounting hurdles and mitigating threats that impede the sustainability of La Plata Basin. Regionally, the focus is fortifying the CIC's mandate, fostering collaborative water management strategies, and bolstering water security measures. Moreover, it entails disseminating expertise and equipping stakeholders with tools for holistic water resource management while fostering cross-border dialogue. On the national front, targeted actions harmonized with regional challenges, such as groundwater governance and pollutant mitigation, will be executed.

Objectives

To promote the management of shared water resources, cooperation, and regional integration, while seeking to achieve sustainable development in the LaPlata Basin countries and the welfare of their inhabitants.

Component 2. Water security and resilience to climate change and variability Responding to SAP Strategic Actions.
